side braid
A single braid hanging on the side of the face, anywhere other than in front of the ears. If it's in front of the ear, it's a single braided sidelock instead.
If it starts at the back of the head, it's a braided ponytail instead. If there are braids on both sides, they're twin braids or side braids instead.
