third-party edit
An image that has been edited by someone other than the artist (a third party).
Third-party edits are generally against the upload rules and should not be uploaded. This includes:
- nude filters
- headshops
- fake translations
- third-party watermarks
- Fanmade meme or joke edits
- Removal of artist signatures or watermarks
- Anything else that substantially alters the content of the image
Minor edits that don't substantially alter the content of the image may be allowed under specific circumstances. This includes posts that have been stitched, colorized, cleaned, detexted or, if scanned, slightly cropped. A third-party edit may also be allowed if it's a matter of compliance with Danbooru's terms of service (see ToS compliance edit).
